This service includes field explorations and tests, laboratory testing as well as a final report.
FIELD EXPLORATIONS AND TESTS:
- PROVIDE GEO-TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR FIELD SUPERVISION TO MONITOR WORK FOR TECHNICAL COMPLIANCE.
- BORING IN SOFT MEDIUM, STIFF TO VERY STIFF SOIL & IN ROCK LAYERS.
- ROTARY CORING METHOD USING DOUBLE TUBE CORE BARRELS FOR OBTAINING ROCK CORES.
- DIFFERENT DRILLING METHOD SUCH AS CONTINUOUS FLIGHT AUGER, ROTARY DRILLING, WASH BORING & CONTINUOUS CORING MIGHT BE USED ACCORDING TO THE SUBSOIL STRATA TYPE.
- PERFORMING STANDARD PENETRATION TESTS AND OBTAINING SAMPLES USING A SPLIT-BARREL SAMPLER
- OBTAINING UNDISTURBED SAMPLES USING A TUBE SAMPLER (SHELBY TUBE).

LABELING, BOXING AND TRANSPORTING SOIL SAMPLES AND ROCK CORES TO AN APPROVED STORAGE
AREA AND/OR TESTING LABORATORY.
- INSTALLING GROUND WATER OBSERVATION WELLS.
- PERFORMING FIELD PERMEABILITY TESTS IN SELECTED GROUND WATER OBSERVATION WELLS.
- PERFORMING HAND DYNAMIC PENETRATION TEST.

- PERFORMING FIELD RESISTIVITY TESTS USING (WENNER 4 PIN METHOD OR EQUIVALENT) IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM G 57.

- DISCUSSION OF RESULTS OF INVESTIGATION WITH RELEVANCE TO FOUNDATION DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION.
- RECOMMENDED ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURES AND EXPECTED SETTLEMENT VALUES.
- RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDIN PILE LENGTHS, CAPACITIES AND TYPES, SHOULD PILING BE REQUIRED.
- RECOMMENDATIONS’ REGARDING GROUND IMPROVEMENTS, IF THIS IS LIKELY TO BE AN ECONOMIC OPTION.
- TOTAL AND DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENTS UNDER TANKS OF DIFFERENT DIAMETERS.
